July 28, 2021 — Callouts
are among the most commonly used blocks in Notion, but their function as a single block, rather than a container for multiple blocks, has limited their utility. It prohibited simple paragraph breaks and formatted lists, much less images, videos, bookmarks, database and other rich content so often used in Notion.
That changed today when Notion subtly introduced the ability to use blocks within Callouts
.
To add one or more blocks to a Callout
, you’ll first need to create the content outside of it. You can then highlight the blocks and drag them into the Callout
.
Another approach is to create the contents within a sub-page, then use the Turn into
option to convert the page to a Callout
.
